Agreement to Terms
By accessing ChooseMyPower.org, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
What This Site Does
ChooseMyPower.org is an electricity plan comparison tool for the deregulated Texas market. We display publicly available plan data from licensed retail electric providers (REPs) and calculate estimated monthly costs based on the usage level you provide.
We are not an electricity provider. We do not sell electricity. When you click "View & Enroll," you are redirected to ComparePower.com to complete enrollment with the provider you selected.
Accuracy of Information
Plan data is sourced from the electricity-rates-api and updated regularly. However, rates and plan availability can change at any time. The estimated monthly costs shown on this site are calculations based on the plan's rate structure and your stated usage — they are estimates, not guarantees.
Always review the Electricity Facts Label (EFL) before enrolling in any plan. The EFL is the legally binding document that governs your rate.
Affiliate Relationship
ChooseMyPower.org is operated by ComparePower. When you enroll in a plan through our links, the electricity provider may pay ComparePower a commission. This does not affect how plans are ranked on our site — plans are sorted by estimated monthly cost at your usage level.
Intellectual Property
The content, design, and code of this site are owned by ComparePower and protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this site without written permission.
Limitation of Liability
ChooseMyPower.org is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of this site, including but not limited to:
- Inaccurate or outdated plan information.
- Service disruptions or site unavailability.
- Actions taken by electricity providers after enrollment.
- Differences between estimated and actual electricity costs.
Third-Party Links
This site contains links to ComparePower.com and electricity provider websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those sites.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Texas.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
